Cab filtration and pressurization equipment

The FPS 55 air pressurization and filtration equipment maintains a controlled pressure in cabs with an outside air intake. This equipment eliminates any risk of external contaminants entering the cab.
Pressurization and filtration of the air in polluted environments (asbestos, microparticles, gases, aerosols, fumes, ammonia, pesticides) inside the cabs of motorized machines in operation is mandatory, as set out in European standard EN 15695.
It is very easy equipment to install. It can be mounted in all types of cabs. An installation kit is included. We also include a pressure gauge to verify the correct operation of the unit.

Features

FPS equipment is designed to pressurize the environment with pre-filtered clean air

Pressurization

A pressurized interior space is created inside the cab that prevents the entry of external contaminants

Filtration

We can meet any request for “anti-dust” filters and “activated carbon” filters suitable for European standards, as well as filters to remove asbestos particles.

How the system works

1

This European standard aims to limit the exposure of the operator (driver)  of motorized machinery (agricultural, industrial, mining, public works, forestry, …) to substances harmful to health, such as dust, ash, chemical substances, aerosols, crop protection product (CPP) vapors and liquid fertilizers.

Air passes through the primary filter in 3 stages (3-in-1 filter in accordance with ISO 3795)

Stage 1: Medium-particle paper filter

Stage 2: Activated carbon filter

Stage 3:  0.3 micron final particle filter

2

Air coming out of the FPS unit creates a positive pressure inside a properly sealed cab.

This excess pressure pushes clean air out through any leaks, instead of allowing polluted air to enter the cab.

3

European standard EN 15695

This European standard aims to limit the exposure of the operator (driver) of motorized machinery (agricultural, industrial, mining, public works, forestry, …) to substances harmful to health, such as dust, ash, chemicals, aerosols, crop protection product (CPP) vapors and liquid fertilizers.

UNE-EN 15695-1:2010
This European standard specifies different categories of self-propelled machinery cabs and the relevant requirements and test procedures intended to limit the exposure of the operator (driver) to hazardous substances when inside the cab. It also specifies the information to be supplied by the manufacturer of self-propelled machinery.

UNE-EN 15695-2:2010/AC:2011
This European standard applies to the filters that form part of the category 2, 3 and 4 cabs of self-propelled machinery specified in EN 15695-1, to limit the exposure of the operator (driver) to hazardous substances while work is being carried out. It specifies the requirements, test procedures and information to be supplied by the filter manufacturer.
The European standard EN 15695 has been applicable in Spain since May 2010

Certifications

CAF (Clean Air Filter) has been working since 1994 to provide a high level of protection for operators thanks to a contaminant-free environment inside work cabs.

The tests applied by CAF to its products meet and even exceed the requirements of European standard EN 15695.

CAF works collaboratively and is certified by:

The FPS 55 system with CAF 48 filter also passed tests at INRS (official laboratory in France), with a measured efficiency of practically 100%.
